Even though, our own blog is built on WordPress Platform, however we would recommend Blogger over WordPress. There are various reasons to support this statement. Blogger is the platform which is designed solely for Blogging purposes. In Blogger you can get necessary customizations, Google Analytics, Google Adsense and Designing as required for any blog.
In case of Blogger with every updated version, many new things have been introduced which make blogging better. The pre-built views of Blogger make the designing an easier task. As far as coding in Blogger is concerned, one need not to worry about any error on account of HTML/CSS/XHTML validations. Blogger Blog will give you a clean and optimized coding.
Now, let’s come to WordPress Blog. In WordPress, there is a lot of mess in coding which is actually not required. If you want a better SEO for your blog, the code of blog should be clean as it is easy for the Spiders of search engines to understand it.

The other reasons for preferring Blogger over WordPress are as follows:
Security
As far as security is concerned, Blogger is suitable since it is associated with Google Account. The Sign In process is done through SSL only. On the other side, in WordPress, you need to buy SSL Certificate separately for ensuring security.
Structured Coding
In Blogger, there is only one XML file and every page is generated through that single XML only. Contrary to this, WordPress uses PHP and you need to create different PHP files for Header, Body, Sidebar, Footer and so on.
Mobile Optimization
Today, the number of people accessing internet via mobile phones (for e.g. iPhone, Android etc.) has increased tremendously. With this, mobile traffic has also increased. Blogger offers a responsive mobile layout.
Conclusion!!
At the end we can say that the Blogger is preferable over WordPress in few cases. However, WordPress has its own advantages. If you want to do more than blogging, then, WordPress is a good option.
A lot of people believe that graphic design and web design is one and the same thing. However, despite the many similarities, graphic design and web design are two different things.
A lot of people believe that graphic design and web design is one and the same thing. However, despite the many similarities, graphic design and web design are two different things. It is not always necessary that a good website designer would also be a good graphic designer and vice-versa. This is why you need to know the similarities and distinction between the two areas of designing before hiring a designer.
How are graphic design and web design similar?
In graphic design and web design, the visual appeal is crucial. Both the forms of designing are creative jobs and both require images, text and other visual tools in order to communicate a message. Both, a graphic designer and website designer, use JPEGs images and typography. Colour is an important feature in both web design and graphic design. Moreover, choosing the right kind of font is crucial for the graphic designer as well as the website designer.
How are they different?
Despite being closely related, graphic design and web design are not the same. While graphic design is all about creating a design that is to be printed. It is all about print media and makes use of technology and art. Some examples of graphic designing include brochures, book covers, logos, business cards, letterheads and other business stationery.
While graphic design deals with printing, web design deals with the Internet. A website designer uses various applications that are not used by the graphic designer including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, besides various other tools. The website designer works exclusively for websites.
Graphic design is purely creativity, while web designing is much more than that. In web design, you not just create a visually appealing design, but also work on making it easy-to-use and beneficial for the website. Through website design, you can give meaning to a graphic by incorporating programming tools.
In graphic design, it’s all about visually appealing high resolution images, while in web designing it is about adding the feature of interactivity in these visually appealing images. Moreover, a graphic design, no matter how beautiful it may be, has a limited reach, while the website has a worldwide reach.
A design created by the graphic designer cannot be changed or updated. However, a website designer can update a design whenever needed, thus keeping the website relevant.
Another crucial difference is that the medium of design in graphics is broader than in web design. A web designer can only design on the Internet, while a graphic designer can create designs online as well as offline.
Conclusion: Graphic design and website design are two distant cousins that have their similarities and differences. If you want to hire a designer for your business, it is important to first assess your design needs and then select the website designer or graphic designer. It is advisable to opt for a designer who is well versed with website designing because websites are very much in vogue and are here to stay.

In a bid to enhance sharing on its upcoming social network, Google has integrated its video-sharing site YouTube and its Chrome browser more deeply into Google+.
Vic Gundotra, Google’s senior vice president for engineering, said YouTube and Chrome are now more accessible from the Google+ network.
“It’s no secret that YouTube is filled with tons of great content (from inspiring speeches to music videos to honey badgers). We wanted to bring YouTube directly into Google+—as well as make it easier to watch and share your favorites – so we’re launching a YouTube ‘slider’ in the stream,” Gundotra said in a blog post.
A user can mouse over the new YouTube icon at the top right of Google+, and a message will slide out asking “What would you like to play?”
Based on the user’s input, YouTube will start playing a list of related videos in a new pop-up window.
Even if one moves the pop-up elsewhere, they can still navigate their playlist from the slider.
“Sharing YouTube videos with your circles also works (of course), but there’s a nice little twist: the people you share with can open a related playlist directly from your post! Last but not least, we’re starting to include YouTube playlists in Google+ search results,” Gundotra said.
On the other hand, Gundotra said Google is also rolling out two new Chrome extensions for Google+ – the +1 button and notifications.
“Of course, if you don’t use Chrome, then you can use Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer. The new version – also rolling out today – includes these same sharing and notification features, Gundotra said.
He added Google has “lots more” planned for Google+, after YouTube and Chrome.
A separate article on tech site Mashable said this was the latest in a series of enhancements to Google+.
Only last summer, it said Google incorporated the ability to play YouTube videos in Google+ Hangouts.

After a long period, Yahoo appears to be ready to compete again. Yahoo has launched cocktails, a mixture of programming languages and development tools which would make it easier and faster to code applications.
The unusual mix of Node.JS HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript with some modifications by the engineers of Yahoo could have an impact on the community of web developers because it eliminates some of the regions in the time to write a new application or program.
Yahoo has introduced two cocktails- Yahoo Mojito cocktail which is a JavaScript web application framework, and Yahoo Manhattan cocktail which is a cloud hosting environment for applications based on the Mojito.
Mojito works by allowing developers to manage things on both sides of the browser and server, eliminating the need to write different code for each objective. It also reduces warnings caused by JavaScript to work with multiple languages.
Yahoo Mojito Cocktail
Mojito is a model as well as a widget that contains all the code needed to write programs and is also a visual element of user interface. The applications based on Mojito are both modules and widgets, giving them the nickname Mojits, where the name “Mojito” came from.
Yahoo Manhattan Cocktail
Manhattan is a server- side JavaScript hosting environment for applications based on Mojito running on the Yahoo’s clouds, adding cloud capabilities and scalability of the traditional mix. Multiple Mojito based apps can be implemented, being un-deployed and managed by the Yahoo Cloud network using the environment of Manhattan.
The long-term goal of Yahoo cocktails is that developers will be able to write code for a single app which can be used through multiple environments which will save time & efforts.
It is still early days for Yahoo’s experimental move in the web development field, but Cocktails shows a lot of promise that could help save the company in crisis and restore its tarnished image.

1. SEO friendliness – An overview:
If you are thinking to develop an e-commerce site, then please do consider SEO and online marketing for the same. SEO is as important as what you develop as a final product. Typically, people who want to develop an e-commerce site whether it is based on Magento, OSCommerce, Zen Cart or X-Cart, should start planning to make the site ready for SEO during development. For effective website optimization, one needs to develop a plan for SEO and Internet Marketing for his/ her e-commerce site in advance.
2. Creating static pages:
The first is to create a separate front-end site separated from the cart. You’ll create a number of pages that can be easily indexed (assuming they are well organized and optimized for search engines). The disadvantage of this is that your site will always be limited to the size of the home page and the management of these sites with a large number of products could be painful.
3. Dynamic Title & Meta Tags:
Your eCommerce store should have Dynamic Title and Meta tags on each page. If you are on category page then your Title should contain Category name or category related keyword. Similarly, if you are on Product Page, then you should Use product name along with Category name, in page Title.
Not only your page title, your meta description too should be unique on each page. Make use of your most relevant keywords which you have used in page title in Page description. Different keywords should be used for different pages.
4. Logo and Image alt tags:
The Search Engines can’t read images. So we have to use our relevant keywords in Image ALT tags. The logo of your website is very important. Try to use your main keyword in Alt tag of your Logo image. The reason we use it to check whether the pages are indexed in search engines, search engines tend to pull the content of the top.
The products and categories also have images. These images should be provided with relevant keywords or product names. You can control these attributes for product images and Logo from your backend.
5. Heading Tags (h1, h2, h3 etc)
As the heading in content makes your content easy to understand for the users/ readers, similarly the header tags are very important for search engine spiders for reading your content.
6. Dynamic URLs VS Static URLs
The URLs of your website should be static and SEO friendly. Dynamic URLs are not good for search engines. You can rewrite urls from admin backend.
a) Static URLs look like this:
http://www.sitesname.com/category/product-name.html
b) Dynamic URLs look like this:
http://www.sitename.com/category/product.php?product_id=12345&sort=date
Google on Monday launched a first look of Dart, a new programming language for creating Web applications as an alternative to JavaScript.
The purpose of Dart is to make Web application development with less hassle. Google said that Dart is “a class-based optionally typed programming language for building Web applications.”
In a blog post written on Google’s Code blog, Dart Team Software Engineer Lars Bak said that the main objective of Dart is to create a structured and flexible language for web programming, make Dart familiar to programmers so as to make it easy for them to learn, and to ensure that the new language provides a great performance in all modern browsers and environments ranging from hand-held mobile devices to service-side execution.
Dart aimed at a wide range of development scenarios: from one person without much structure to a big project that requires formal types in the code to state programmer intent
Bak writes:” In support of this broad range of projects, Dart has optional types, which mean that you can start writing code without adding other types and add them later as required. We believe it will be good to write great web applications.”
According to Bak, the code of Dart can be executed in two ways:
1) On a virtual machine natively
2) On top of a JavaScript engine using a compiler capable of translating the JavaScript code in the match.
“This means that you can write a web application in the Dart, compile it and run on any modern browser. The Dart VM is not included in Chrome, but we intend to explore this option,” Bak writes.
Dart has a set of libraries and control tools for checking code development and implementation of Dart Code, which Bak said will evolve as the developer community becomes more involved with the new language.
Search engine ranking of one’s website is actually ruled by not only a solitary factor but by an assortment of many. If you want to achieve high search engine ranking in leading search engines, then you are required to give consideration to many factors simultaneously because they all are equally responsible for promoting your website over the world of internet & making it visible to web robots or crawlers.
Most of the website owners do a mistake of not including keywords in the domain-name URL; this is one of the most important factors that can affect page ranking badly. Nowadays, anchor text has become the most imperative Search Engine Optimization feature & if there is a keyword in your domain name then you can really benefit from this as there will not be any problem for you to get anchor text links even without asking for that.
Another thing which can be responsible for preventing high ranking is a header tag without keywords. This can lead to decreasing the online visibility of your website. It is imperative to make use of keywords in H1 header because web robots mostly look for keywords in the headers when they search for a website corresponding to the searched keyword.
To get a good page ranking, a website needs to be indexed by the search engines. And to get indexed, you need to use keywords in the body text of your site. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a new concept of indexing & retrieving which utilizes a mathematical procedure known as Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Web Robots use LSI to check the relevance of the text included in the body.
Putting keywords in the Meta-tag and Title-tag is also very important. Another factor that can be responsible for preventing high ranking on Search Engine Results Page (SERP) is the level of website’s readability. In addition to all these factors, there are many other factors that can affect the search engine ranking of a website.
A web application framework is basically a software structure which is designed to support the development of web applications, web services & dynamic websites. The purpose of framework is to ease the operating cost associated with general activities performed in Web development. E.g. several frameworks provide libraries for database access, session management & template frameworks; code reuse is often promoted by them.
At 9GWeb, our expert, techno-passionate and experienced developers understand clients’ requirement and propose solutions as per that. We know that scalability should be given utmost importance while choosing the framework that is why we recommend most suitable & flexible solutions for your website development needs.
Our experts analyze your requirement and propose best possible solutions so as to save your precious time and hard earned money. At 9GWeb, Three factors are given supreme importance as far as frameworks are concerned i.e. Timeline, Scalability & Budget
Timeline – The time factor, which is very essential while providing services, is always kept in view & we strive to complete all the tasks within the minimum possible duration. We know that delay always invites a bad name to a concern, so we have entirely won over the factor of delay. Completing tasks on time is one of our mottos.
Scalability – We understand that scalability is imperative because if one chooses rigid framework then it would not be possible to alter things at later stages. So, in order to save time, money and to reduce efforts, we propose most apt solutions.
Budget – While confining to your budget and requirement, we recommend appropriate, economical & less time consuming frameworks.
Framework @ 9GWeb:

● PHP- MVC ● Symfony
